right along ....

At long last! Hope you haven't been holding your breath waiting for this. If anything I am not always known for my timeliness, but when I do finally catch up, I hope it will have been worth the wait. If not ... Oh well ... Comme ci, comme ├ža :)

Since I'm not really sure how this particular blog site works, you'll have to keep that in mind until I get my bearings. So, here goes.

To start, I want to acknowledge and thank two people, in particular, who were instrumental in my getting this blog off the ground.

First is Brenda Gerber who introduced me to Travellerspoint and her blog during Dan, Wynn Gerber and Colleen Linn's cross country bicycling adventure three years ago. For those who haven't seen it and are interested, it can be found at brendagerber07.travellerspoint.com. Scroll down on the right-hand side to the entries for Aug 2013, Sep 2013 and Oct 2013. Brenda also did a great job recounting our **Natchez Trace journey (Sep 2016 and Oct 2016).

Second and certainly not last or least is my son, Colin. Without his re-gift of the laptop computer on which I'm typing, none of this would be possible. Thank you again, Colin! Though it has presented its technical challenges for me, I have persevered and am finally able to get on with the business of turning this blog loose on the world!

But, I would be remiss if I didn't also acknowledge and pay homage to Steve & Sandy Woosley whose travel blog, WOW, Wheeling Oddyssey of the Woosleys, gave me the inspiration for the ===RROAR=== acronym, Rambling Roobs On A Roll.

Now on with it!

  • *I have been asked to prepare a slideshow on our Natchez Trace journey for presentation at our Silver Wheels Cycling Club meeting in November.
